Privacy Policy

Overview

Journal My Trades("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use journalmytrades.io and related services.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and authentication credentials managed through Supabase Auth.
• Trade & journal data: trades, notes, tags, moods, screenshots, daily journal entries, strategies, playbooks, and goals you enter or import.
• Broker credentials: API keys or OAuth tokens for sync connections you configure (encrypted server-side).
• Billing data: subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment card details are stored by Stripe, not on our servers.
• Usage & technical data: logs, IP address, browser type, and cookies necessary to operate and secure the Service.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the journal, reports, and sync features
• Generate Journal AI responses when you use the Journal AI feature
• Process subscriptions and send transactional emails (confirmations, billing)
• Secure the Service and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your trade data to third parties.

Journal AI & third-party processors

When you use Journal AI, relevant context from your journal (trades, stats, playbooks, daily notes per your filters) may be sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. We configure Journal AI for educational review only — not trade execution.

We also use:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
• Stripe — payments and subscription management
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Resend or similar — transactional email delivery (if configured)

Coach & student data

If you join a coach group, your coach may view aggregate statistics (trade count, P&L, win rate, rule adherence) for students in their organization. Coaches do not receive automatic access to individual trade details from the org dashboard. Org-wide playbooks you accept apply to Journal AI sessions for that group.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete all trades from Settings → Danger Zone. Account deletion requests can be made by contacting us through your subscription email. Some billing records may be retained as required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security in our database, and encrypted storage for broker credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can update profile information and email from Settings.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
